Not much going on here at Valiant Arabians this winter. We are eagerly anticipating the arrival of two foals this spring. First one is due in March. We have enjoyed a nice and mild winter in Iowa and are eagerly awaiting spring. We are expecting another child of our own in March and look forward to the upcoming addition to our family. Hope everyone is having a great New Year so far! God Bless 2012!

Today, 13 years ago, I bought my first Arabian, Pros Mirage (AKA Diamond). Little did I know what that would do for me… She has been my best friend, my addiction and my love through all these years. She will never leave my side.

Today Rose was ultrasounded at 63 days to determine the sex of her foal. It’s a COLT! Hoping for a superior quality colt by *Escape IBN Navarrone and out of Rose who is a gorgeous *Padron daughter!

Pros Mirage (aka Diamond) was also checked 21 days in foal to STETSON BEY! YAY! Such great news today! Should be a great foaling year next year!

Colt born 5/22/11

Hi everyone!

So he has arrived! A lovely very BIG Bay colt (maybe gray) was born on May 22nd at 3 a.m. Desertsongarabians (Ann Parker) won the foaling contest and will be receiving a nice halter for her lovely horse!

The colt is very pretty in the face, upright, long neck, etc. We can’t wait to see how he looks once he’s a bit older!

I decided to put up a contest! Guess the sex and color of the upcoming foal (Madam Mouselle FOAL), guess the date and time and the closest to the date and time and right gender, will win a free personalized halter with your favorite horse’s name on it and your barn colors! I will be ordering it, I don’t make them, but will order one for the winner! This is also being advertised on Arabian Breeders.net So here are the stats!

Mare was bred via A.I on June 19th, 2010. The mare is a maiden mare, chestnut with two bay parents. She is by *Sir Fames HBV and out of Padrons Quintessence (Padron) She took after the Padron side of the bloodlines and looks a lot like him, crooked blaze and chestnut coloring.

Sire is *Rough Justice, gray WH Justice son.

Signs she’s showing: VERY sunken in hind end, jellowy.. relaxed vulva, very uncomfortable the last few days, urinating every 30 minutes or so, sometimes more often than that. Small bag, no wax, but udder seems filled out but not big at all. Probably 1/3rd the size of most of my mares before they foal. She’s a maiden mare, so who knows what she’s going to do. All the other signs are there except the bag.
